2 Month Check-Up

Ok, so I know I am the worst blogger in the world. BUT I am a new mom, so get over it.
Anyway, we had Mason's two month check up today. We also had the dreaded shots. Mason actually did pretty good with the shots. We were blown away when we found out that Mason was 13lbs and 23.5 inches long. He is such a chunk, but we love him anyway.

Mason is coming

Thursday is THE big day!! I go in to get induced on Thursday morning. I cannot wait to meet him, yet at the same time I am absolutely terrified to actually go through the birthing process. Lots of prayers would be absolutely appreciated. Pictures to come as soon as we have them and I have some spare time!

We can't wait to add a third to our little family!

I seriously cannot believe how incredibly fast this pregnancy has gone. I have so much to do still and only a week to do it. So, please forgive me if I am not on here with any updates till after little Mason comes.

Things to do before Mason arrives

Ok, this morning Jacob and I started to make a check list. Some of these are serious... the majority are not, but thats just how we are.

1. Pack and move into new apartment
2. Get nursery together
3. Chop off hair so Mason can't pull on it (this is not going to happen)
4. Jacob shave beard into a mustache only
5. Get political views
6. Get the "Dont you dare do that in public" look down
7. Paige- learn how to cook a lot of casseroles
8. Start using phrases, such as, "We dont act like that, do we?"
9. Jacob- learn more about sports and cars
10. Become oblivious to popular terms and slang used by the kids "nowadays," but still try to use them to seem cool.

Yep, we are going to be great parents. =)

Well I am 36 weeks pregnant. I will be induced exactly 3 weeks from today. Mason has dropped and is very healthy. I will be going to the doctor every week now. We are getting really excited, but are hoping we get all packed, moved, and get his nursery done before he comes. Here are a couple pictures from the shower that my sisters threw for me and one of me 34 & 36 1/2 weeks pregnant. Enjoy!!

Papa

Today has been a tough day. My amazing papa passed away this afternoon. It's so hard to see a person pass that has been there for you through every step of life. He babysat my brothers and I when we were young, he was the one we called to pick us up from school when we weren't feeling well, he took us to go bowling and showed up for the majority of our sports events, he baptized me when I was twelve, he helped me buy my first (and second) car, he came to my high school graduation, he was at my wedding, and he was at my college graduation. It saddens me to death that he will not be here to meet Mason, the next big step in my life. My grandfather was the one I looked up to when it came to my faith. He was an amazing man who went on mission trips overseas up until last year, he was never afraid to share his faith with others, and he helped me to grow my faith into what it is now. He will be missed. I love you papa.

Maternity Pictures

The other day Jacob and I went out with my brother and sister in law and took some maternity pictures. Enjoy!

Prayer Part 2

So, the other day I wrote a post about prayer and how I need to fully give myself to prayer and trust God through this stressful time. Well, I am very happy to say that one of our prayers happened! Jacob and I got phase manager! That means that we have a free place to live. Seriously this is a MAJOR relief for us. And Mason will have his own room. You cannot imagine how I feel at this moment. God is amazing the things he does. Feeling so blessed.

Prayer

Ok, I will be the first to admit; even though I do pray all throughout the day, sometimes even though I trust that God will provide I always have this thought in the back of my head with a bit of cynicism in it. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Well some of my best friends Jen and Logan just got back from their trip in New Zealand, they talked about prayer and how it can really work if you just trust God and put your whole heart and mind into what you are asking for, he will answer. This is where I have one of my biggest struggles, the answering part. So, I am going to start working on that, which comes to my favor I have to ask all of you. Not many of you know about Jacobs and I's situation, but here it goes. We have to be moved out of our hall directing apartment by June 1st, no we have not found an apartment. The reason we have not found an apartment? Because my husband and I are still trying to find jobs, yes we have been searching for almost a year, yes we have prayed about it multiple times every day throughout this past year, no there still has been no answer. On top of that, we are having our first baby mid June AND my student loans start (which are a LOT more than Jacobs). To top off our list of stress and worry, my grandfather who has cancer and has been in the hospital for 2 months is going home Friday and having hospice until he passes. My grandfather is one of the closest people to me. I love that man with every fiber in my body and honestly do not know how I would have survived growing up without him there with his love and support. So my favor I have is to PLEASE pray for us and this situation. It is so stressful on every one of us. We know God has a plan and are REALLY hoping he shows us that plan sooner than later. If you know of any jobs or anything please send them our way and just keep my entire family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

Much Love,
Paige
